CST Chinese School was opened by the Chinese Sisterhood of Tuscaloosa in the August of 2015. The school meets on Sunday afternoons during the Spring and Fall semesters. The current school rental location is The Capitol School (http://www.thecapitolschool.com/), 2828 6th Street, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401).
CST Chinese School's curriculum currently follows teaching Chinese as a heritage language, using Ma LiPing's textbook (https://www.heritagechinese.com/), which requires at least one parent fluent in Chinese to help with students’ Chinese homework. We hope to offer the second curriculum track, teaching Chinese as a second language soon, which will open to non-Chinese speaking families.
Registration is held at the beginning of each semester, and the tuition per semester is collected during registration. A slight variance in tuition may apply in relation to changes in school enrollment and class structures.
